Let Me Count the Ways to Procrastinate...

There is no greater pleasure in life sometimes than the thought of tomorrow, and putting things off until tomorrow. There are many things I do to procrastinate, for example I sort through my pictures. I have an exam at 8am tomorrow, and of course I am doing my favorite pastime. So here are two random and terrifying in their own ways pictures.

The snow from two weeks ago, my van was buried for days because of this....

This other picture is slightly terrifying and therefor should be allotted tons of space in case you wish to avert your eyes....

I was told to "look crazy", however I look either possessed or on the verge of a killing spree. Luckily I was neither at the time, just enjoyably drunk on my birthday.

My favorite comment from a Facebook friend was "When gingers snap"....

Snow No Mo'

Alright so another round of snow last week caused classes to be cancelled on Thursday and Friday. Thus making my life oh so wonderful this week. Like an idiot I spent much of my 29th birthday on Saturday drinking. My excuse was devastation over the realization that I will not be able to do anything too outrageous or exciting during the final year of my twenties. Being a married college student kind of takes away from that. However unlike my peers I can buy my own beer or now really wine as I have matured or whatever.

So how did the snow ruin my life this week you ask? Well the exams I had for last Thursday and Friday were moved to this week. My drunkenness caused me to not complete a take home exam until tonight. Although that one is solely my fault and not the booze since I decided to partake in the alcohol. Anyway, our store's biggest weekend is this weekend, our local comic con. So aside from prepping for the convention I have six yes SIX exams this week, with two quizzes as the cherry on top. I have completed two of six exams as of today, but I still have a lot of studying in site. Aside from all that fun stuff I still have to maintain my home as I have pets. Pets are messy. Husbands are messy. By this Sunday I will surely be in a zombie state and will most likely take to the alcohol again.

FYI not drinking all that often has brought forth what I can only describe as a two day hangover. The hangover has finally left, but does that happen as you get older or just when you don't drink often enough?

I Might Be a Jerk...

I have a love/hate relationship with my Survey of Popular Music class. I love the subject, we listen to awesome music and learn about musicians and bands. The professor is alright, he uses the word gig too much, but he's alright. Easy tests. This is why I love the class. Here is why I hate the class: It's a gen ed, everyone in there is annoying, and I will end up punching someone. First off almost everyone in there is a freshman, and they ask some of the dumbest questions. It's obvious many of them only enjoy the auto tuned crap today's music industry produces. Aside from the older guy in my class, who thinks he is the shit for being older. He acts all knowing and way to condescending for my taste. I literally talk to no one in this class, there are at least 60+ students.  I sit in the back, which is partially my fault for so much of my frustration. However, it is the best way for me to see the slides and take accurate notes. So I'm pretty much screwed. Everyone around me feels the need to talk and eat loudly. No one takes notes, which the notes are only given in class. There is no going to Blackboard and copying the notes. So in order to ace the class, which is super easy to do, you have to take notes. I receive no greater pleasure than on the days he gives back exams or papers. As this class is super easy, I get A's and 100's on all the assignments. While others around me get C's and D's.

When I hear people complaining about their bad grades and being unable to understand why they did so bad, I just want to shake them and tell them that if they would shut up and pay attention they could be passing this super easy class too. Instead I sit there like the world's biggest jerk with a smug smile on my face, leaving my graded assignments/tests out for those around me to see just how wonderful I am.

Maybe I should see someone about this? But then again, I kind of enjoy it.
